About

Welcome to AccessibilityResources.ca, your trusted hub for Canadian accessibility resources, mobility information, and adaptive living solutions. Our mission is simple: to make accessibility easier, clearer, and more supportive for individuals, families, and caregivers across Canada. Whether you’re navigating mobility changes, outfitting an accessible home, searching for Canadian-available products, or trying to understand disability supports, you’ll find practical, trustworthy guidance here.

This website was created from over 40 years of lived experience as a disabled person, alongside the shared knowledge of many friends, caregivers, and community members who also face accessibility barriers every day. Disabled people navigate challenges that most never see—barriers in homes, workplaces, transportation, communication, and public spaces. After spending decades trying to find reliable information scattered across different websites, organizations, and government pages, I realized something important: People shouldn’t have to hunt for the accessibility information they need.

Accessibility information should be public, free, easy to understand, and simple to find. That’s why this resource was built. The goal is to make life a little easier for others by bringing everything together in one place, shaped by lived experience, practical knowledge, and real Canadian context. I truly hope this website becomes a helpful guide, and I appreciate your support and suggestions.
